Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Navira you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

Navira is an informational and tooling platform for immigrants. It does not provide legal, medical, tax, or financial advice. The Legal AI Assistant is an educational aid, not a substitute for a licensed attorney. Always consult a qualified professional for advice specific to your situation.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your password and 2FA device confidential and for activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.

4. Acceptable use

You may not (a) upload content you do not have the right to upload, (b) attempt to access another user's account or data, (c) probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the service without written permission, (d) use the AI tools to generate content that is illegal, harassing, or fraudulent, or (e) resell or sublicense the service without a written agreement.

5. Subscription, billing & pilot terms

Paid plans are billed via Stripe or PayPal as described at checkout. During the municipal pilot, premium features may be sponsored and provided without charge to specific user cohorts as identified in the licensing agreement governing that pilot.

6. Intellectual property

The Navira name, logo, code, and content are owned by Navira. You retain ownership of the content you upload (e.g. vault documents), and grant us only the limited licence required to store and serve it back to you.

7. Termination

You may close your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or to comply with law.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) USD $100 or (b) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in New York County.

11. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in-app at least 14 days before they take effect.
